This small easy-to-use solar panel is a great addition to your next solar powered project. This solar cell provides approximately 6V DC in direct sunlight at up to 1W (approximately 160 mA). Multiple units can be chained serial and/or parallel to increase voltage and current.
The cell itself is epoxied to a PCB that has easy-to-solder connections on the back. Two tinned wires are already attached so you can get started quickly. Compared to our 2W cell, this one is not completely waterproof (the back is exposed and would have to be coated), does not have an aluminum backing (so its less sturdy), and is not as efficient. However, its a great deal!
Team this up with a lithium polymer battery and our optimized Solar Lithium Ion/Polymer charger! and you've got a solar-rechargeable portable power supply!
